Direct print on brushed aluminium Dibond
In this exciting modern process, the photographic image is printed directly onto a strong 3 mm thick aluminium composite panel. Two thin aluminium sheets sandwich a black polyethylene core to ensure maximum stability and water resistance.
During production of the aluminium backing sheet the surface is ground horizontally to produce a brushed effect, and this brushed surface gives the photographs an extraordinary, metallic appearance. Once the image has been printed on the surface a wafer thin seal is created using a clear resin, which retains the matte effect of the aluminium Dibond backing.
Any areas of the image that are white or very light are not printed, and the shiny metal itself is visible. This direct UV-print is colour-fast, light-resistant, and even damp-proof. A photo on brushed aluminium Dibond is therefore not only suitable for indoor areas such as the bathroom or the kitchen, but also for covered outdoor areas protected from rain and direct sunlight. The latest UV art print technology guarantees extreme durability and stability: through UV exposure, every print is dried six times.
Each brushed aluminium print comes with an integral sub-frame on the back so that it is ready for immediate hanging. This invisible sub-frame holds it off the wall. That, together with the absence of glass and a traditional frame, adds to the impression that the image is floating and infinite.
